This the lounge area within the hotel. There is a small bar and computers located in this area where guests and patrons may mix and mingle. This is also where "Whiskey Blue" is located (pictured above). Whiskey Blue is the chain's bar and it features, sofas and other seating areas, a great bar, and live (or DJ) music. On your next trip down to the Big Easy, you should save a night for the grown and sexy. It is a great alternative to Bourbon Street.

I have been there, and this place is definitely not your typical hotel lounge in the South. It is very posh, and the vibes and music puts you in a "New York state of mind." It's in a pretty good location, away from the craziness of Bourbon Street. It's a only a couple of blocks away from the arts district, which is often overlooked in Nola. I can't wait to go back!
I've traveled all over the world and have stayed in the best of the best in hotels. I'll agree with you that the W is where it's at. In Asia, in particular, most every American hotel chain looks like this. The Asian ones even take it up a notch. But since I can't just jet set to Asia whenever I feel like it, the W is just fine..LOL You're giving me an idea here.... :-)
